Whew… It’s been a while since I last blogged. I think I’m going to start writing more about day-to-day life. There will be posts about my favorite coffee shops, new friends, updates on my post-grad job hunt, and more. But today I have an adventure post for you!
This weekend we drove up to good ole’ Arlington, WA to a place called Jim Creek. We went with some of Spencer’s coworkers – Sam, Titus, Corey, Andrea, Bryce, Matt, Thea and Seth. It’s safe to say we all had a total blast. It was just what I needed to get away from the job-hunting stress and let loose with some good people!
Jim Creek was such a nice surprise. We all packed sleeping bags and pads thinking we would have to sleep on the floor of the cabin. Luckily that was not the case! The cabin was SO nice! There were two bedrooms, a loft, a kitchen, bathroom, and TV’s with cable. It was nestled among mountains and huge trees with changing leaves. We went on a hike, kayaked and fished on Twin Lakes, played disk golf and Bigfoot croquet, and unwound with some refreshing beverages. It was such a good weekend with good people. I’m looking forward to Jim Creek 2016!
