Everything is now categorized by B.H. and A.H. (Before and after Hogwarts).
It’s no secret that I am obsessed with Harry Potter. I’ve read all the books, even the additional stories that J.K. Rowling has written like “The Tales of Beedle the Bard.” I’ve watched at least one movie every single month since they’ve been out. I own three wands. One of them was handcrafted by my friends because again it is no secret that I’m obsessed. Let it be known though, that I don’t claim to be the biggest Harry Potter fan. I don’t know every fact about the movies and I can’t recite you any random passage from the books. I actually didn’t even read the books until I had watched every movie. But Harry Potter makes me so genuinely happy that I have to share with you my first experience going to Hogwarts.
Funny story. I was actually so obsessed about the first Harry Potter world that opened in Orlando that I made myself an acceptance letter. It basically said that I was hired on to work there. I printed it out and my drill team director still has it in her office. Five years later and I finally got the chance to go!!!
When you see Hogwarts for the first time it’s a life changer. Thank you so much to my amazing boyfriend for making this all happen.
No tears yet.
I could not control any of my emotions when I walked into Hogsmeade and it clearly shows in the photos. I didn’t know what to do with my arms, my eyes, or my smile. I was so excited that I cried looking into the windows of Zonko’s Joke Shop. I gasped several times while in Hogwarts. Then there’s my smile. My smile looked like a kid’s who hasn’t learned how to properly smile yet. Total complete happiness.I don’t want to ruin the park for anyone. I want you to experience the same surprises I did when I walked in. So I’ll leave it at this… Hogsmeade is perfect. Hogwarts is perfect. There was no corner left untouched. The attention to detail is insane. Go to Ollivander’s and buy a wand as soon as you get there.
Please Respect the Spell Limits.
There’s clear excitement in the eyes and smile…
…and then I completely lost it. There’s the tears!
The look of pure joy.
Standing in front of thousands of wands at Ollivander’s.
An Ivy wood wand chose me at Ollivander’s.
The only good reaction when you’re inside the Gryffindor common room.
Remember when I said I looked like a child who hasn’t learned how to smile yet? Yeah, that was referring to this picture. No one has ever been so excited by a toad choir.
Thank you Spencer. You made this day so magical! Thank you for making my dreams come true and letting me have the best experience ever. You are the best.
